CLUB BALL
Local universities, such as CSU and CU, have been exceptionally strong at the club level, and a
popular destination for many Creek lacrosse greats. This was particularly the case in the early days
of Colorado lacrosse when many players stayed close to home, although by all accounts players like
Rick Parietti and Mike Reiter would have starred at any of the best schools back East. Here we
recognize those who helped build programs at CU and CSU. (still under development - please send
any information you have on a player or players so we can give them credit here!)
Ricky Parietti '80 (CSU) An unstoppable force on midfield and attack, Ricky led CSU in its early
years. He would later go toe-to-toe with the best in the world and earn all-Vail Tournament
honors as a leading member of the legendary Team Colorados squads.
Mike Reiter '86 (CSU '91) Mike was a star midfielder who helped win the State Championship in '86,
then went to college on a tennis scholarship. Mike turned back to lacrosse and CSU where he
helped build the program into a serious contender as a player coach. Mike was also a stalwart
midfielder on the great Team Colorados in the Vail Tournament.
The following are ex-Creek players who are currently starring on the CU team or coaching there.
Although I don't have all their details at the moment, I wanted to call out their success with the
information I have.
Marty Taffet is now a coach at CU after going right to St. Johns out of Creek.
Dane Mueller initially went to DU, then transferred to CU where he is currently starting.
Kyle Driver (twin of Ryan Driver) has been key contributor at CU ever since he joined the team
after Creek.
Tyler Padzik has also been at CU since winning the State Championship at Creek.
Tyler O'Crowley's played at DU, but transferred and is now healthy and starting at CU healthy as a
solid defender.
Michael Beimford has transferred to CU from OSU and is now a starter there.
Matt White is starting at midfield at CU as well.

This page recognizes Creekers who
are starring at the Varsity level in
college or graduated from an NCAA
lacrosse program.
